My work with Sean Carr

Once again it is my favorite time of year. Setting up a new hard drive. It truly is a fun task, in my opinion. And this one is extra special as it's where I will be finalizing all the pages for my Camera Head, and photography books. So kinda cool, at least I am excited about it.  As I sit here twitchy three Rip Its Deep, cataloging backlogs of photos I have taken over the years that I kinda just threw into folders like “eh Fuck it” which all creators inevitably do. Looking for those hidden gems I can use for these projects that will need to be transferred over.

Now because I am as organized as a trip to Fyre Island when opening folders on some of these older drives I am retiring from my setup. I never know what I am going to find. Well, today it lead to a trip down memory lane as I went through Photos of Sean Carr and myself.

For those who don't know Sean Carr is an Indy wrestler who has made quite a name for himself. Throughout the years, I have had a chance to document parts of his career. You can read a bit about his wrestling stats HERE.

More importantly, though Sean, is one of my oldest friends. We met in Middle school, however, didn’t become close friends until high school. It is cool because going through these old photos, it sparks a lot of memories. We had a lot of just fun adventures together. Some even crept their way into my Camera Head book “Pics or it Didn't Happen” which releases next year. In fact, the groundedness of Burger Head always being dragged along into the shit show, was inspired by Sean Carr’s very straight-edge lifestyle. This was such a 180 from my manic-driven questionable past. I think that's what kinda made our friendship what it is.

Going through these old Myspace-era Photos is such a treat. However, the true kind of treasure is our careers Growing up ended up complimenting each other. That’s what I want to share. This was such a cool visual to look at diving into these hard drives. Way back when I always wanted to be some form of artistic creator, Film, painter, photographer, writer, you name it I dabbled in it. Every step of the way … Wrestler Sean Carr was like tag me in bro. You got a new Camera and need to test it stop by the ring I got you. We made extremely low-budget fun fan films together. I would practice different art styles by throwing him into my drawings. Whatever venture I wanted to pursue, Sean was there.

So here we are all grown up I am a Portrait photographer He is a wrestler and we are still side by side creating stuff together.
